Transcendentalism.com is an independent publication exploring what it means to live deliberately today.
Based in the work of Henry David Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Margaret Fuller, and the American Transcendentalists, the site explores timeless questions about attention, self-trust, nature, simplicity, conscience, reverence, and what it means to live well today.
While the majority of articles are written and edited in-house, thoughtful contributions are welcome from writers, educators, historians, naturalists, and others with something meaningful to add to the conversation.
We're especially interested in work that brings these ideas into contact with ordinary life; we're not interested in traditional academic or scholarly writing. Contributions should be accessible, thoughtful, curious, and grounded in real, actionable insights.
